As Myatt & Bell’s Human Resources, Training and Development Manager, Sommer not only helps attract and retain top talent in support of expanding operations at Myatt & Bell, but also implements HR strategies that enhance employee relations and foster a positive work environment. With an extensive background in Human Resources, Sommer has an impressive track record of HR compliance, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, performance management, as well as training and development.

Sommer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources from Washington State University, which she pursued while balancing a full-time job as a preschool teacher. This experience not only expanded her Human Resources knowledge but also refined her ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and develop a strong work ethic.

While out of the office, Sommer finds joy in traveling, with New Orleans and Jamacia being two of her favorite spots. Reading is another cherished hobby, providing her with relaxation and insight. Her personal life is enriched by the company of her family and friends, as well as her two beloved dogs, Coco Chanel and Wayne Newton. These experiences and connections shape her approach to life and work, bringing a sense of fulfillment and balance.
